Lee Salamone

  • Ms. Salamone currently serves as Senior Director for the American Chemistry Council Center for the Polyurethanes Industry where she manages the day-to-day operations of the CPI, leads strategic implementation of advocacy and market promotion efforts and coordinates the work of CPI with domestic and global stakeholders and members of polyurethane value chain.
    Ms. Salamone has over 20 years of experience in federal legislative and regulatory policy development, advocacy and regulatory consulting having spent most of her career managing a variety of chemical security, human health, environment, science policy and general business issues for the chemical and energy sector.
    Ms. Salamone is a graduate of Georgetown Universityand The George Washington University.

Jörg Palmersheim

  • Since 1st Jan 2013 Jörg Palmersheim has become Secretary General of ISOPA and Sector Group Manager of ALIPA, the trade associations of the European di-isocyanate and polyols industry, located at Brussels in Belgium. He also serves as Member of various Management Committees of Polyurethane Downstream Associations and chairs the Global PU Trade Association Working Group.
    Before joining ISOPA & ALIPA, Jörg Palmersheim spent his career with Covestro, previous BAYER MaterialScience in various functions.
    He started in August 1985 at BAYER AG in Leverkusen, Germany undertaking an internal traineeship with strong focus on Marketing. After spending 2 years as Marketer for technical fibres, he moved to Wolff Walsrode, a subsidiary of BAYER at that time, located in the North of Germany, nearby Hannover.
    In 1996 he moved to England to become the Director for the Wolff Walsrode Group for the UK & Ireland region. He was member of the Board of Directors in BAYER plc and was significantly involved in implementing the Vision 2000, besides managing the UK/Ireland sales force.
    After 3 years in the UK he returned to Leverkusen to start his career in the BAYER Polyurethane Business. In January 2003 he was appointed Regional Product Manager Polyols where he was leading the strategic redirection of the business in the region EMEA resulting in sustainable improvements of the business performance.
    January 2007 he took over the responsibility as Head of Marketing Automotive Systems for the region EMEA, based in Leverkusen and later on in Switzerland. He successfully led the restructuring of the department whilst realigning the product and customer portfolio, developing long term customer relations in the very demanding and challenging automotive sector on a European and global basis.
    Since he has been appointed Secretary General of ISOPA as well as Sector Group Manager ALIPA, he has started to gear up both trade associations towards a sustainable future.

Byung Kyu Kim

  • Dr. Byung Kyu Kim is currently a distinguished professor of research at Pusan National University. During the last over a quarter century he has been working with polyurethanes, especially waterborne, shape memory ones and their hybrids and nanocomposites focused on molecular design andstructure-property relationships. He published over 400 papers, half covering polyurethanes with over 10,000 citations. He served as the organizing committee chair of the earlier IPUFs(2007,2010) and President of KPUS (2007-2011). He received Ph D from Virginia Tech (1984) and worked with University of Ulsan until he joined PNU 1988. He is a member of Korea Academy of Science and Technology and New York Academy of Science.

ManWoo Lee

  • Mr. ManWoo Lee is currently the President of Specialties Business Cluster of BASF Company Ltd. in Korea. He has over 30 years’ experience in the engineering plastic &polyurethane industry, starting his career as a chemical engineer, later in sales & marketing and business management.Mr. Lee has dedicated most of his life to BASF and it was in 2005, when he was appointed to leadership position of BASF. Since then, Mr. Lee has been responsible for the formulation and successful implementation of the company, specifically in the polyurethane business, serving as the CEO of Doobon Fine Chemical (JV between BASF and BAERLOCHER), the Managing Director of BASF Construction Chemical in China,the BASF Group Vice president of Construction & Civil Engineering chemical business in Asia Pacific, and the President of Chemicals Business Cluster in Korea.
